After losing his arm in Afghanistan, an ex-Marine developed his own superhero-like prosthetic arm capable of lifting up to 400 pounds.

Traditional prosthetics were too fragile for Sebastian Gallegos, breaking under minor strains like carrying groceries. His new arm is made of durable aluminum and carbon fiber.

The prosthetic not only supports his active lifestyle, including gym activities, but also allows him to confidently carry his one-year-old son.

Corporal Sebastian Gallegos: “It’s the only prosthetic that I can do things with and trust it. Being a dad is the actual reason I’m most grateful for the prosthetic. When I carry my son, I’m almost exclusively using the prosthetic.”
