Walmart is now selling physical items directly within Roblox, offering a virtual shopping experience that allows users to purchase real products delivered to their homes. This venture is part of a pilot test running through May, where Roblox users can interact with products virtually before buying.

Inside the video-game, there’s a browser window mimicking Walmart’s actual website. Walmart collaborated with Roblox creators to design virtual versions of real-world products. The initiative includes items like bags, tumblers, and headphones, which users can see and try on their avatars.

The upcoming boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has been officially sanctioned as a professional fight. 

“Over the past six weeks, MVP has worked with its partners to satisfy the requirements of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) to sanction Paul vs. Tyson, and we are grateful that we have gotten to this point,” Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions said.

Mike Tyson, responding on social media platform X: “I wasn't joking when I said this would be a real fight. See you in July @jakepaul.”

The bout is scheduled to take place in July.

Memecoins are gaining traction again, driven by Bitcoin’s strong performance this year. Typically cautious hedge funds are beginning to invest in these volatile digital assets.

Stratos, a California hedge fund, reported a 137% return from investing in a memecoin with a dog mascot wearing a beanie. Meanwhile, New York’s Brevan Howard made a “tiny” investment into the market.

These coins are also becoming more accessible, trading on major exchanges, and are popular in decentralized finance. Their ease of creation and trade contributes to their popularity.

Tesla is engineering a rideshare service allowing users to summon self-driving cars. The product comes after CEO Elon Musk announced Tesla robotaxis will be officially unveiled in August.

The service, “Cyber Cab,” seeks to blend elements of Airbnb and Uber, involving both Tesla-owned and user-owned cars. It was highlighted during Tesla’s Q1 earnings call, where app mockups were also presented.

The company has faced scrutiny over its self-driving technology following a lawsuit settlement related to a fatal crash involving autopilot.

New research indicates that viewing memorable images can extend our perception of time, making moments seem longer than they are.

A study had participants view a series of images and then asked how long each image seemed to have been displayed. The participants reported that the more memorable an image was, the longer it seemed to have been displayed, even if it actually wasn’t.

Neuroscientists speculate that humans process memorable images faster, causing the time slowdown. It’s still unclear why the two factors are connected, however.

Martin Wiener, a cognitive neuroscientist: “In other words … memorable images may be memorable because they’re just easy for our systems to process them.”
