An Oklahoma family was stunned when they discovered their son’s pet octopus unexpectedly gave birth to 50 babies. The offspring ended up costing the household over $3,000 in food supplies and water damage.

Despite the hardships, the situation garnered widespread attention, amassing the family nearly 400,000 followers on TikTok due to their unique predicament.

The father noted: “Do not get a pet octopus unless you're ready to lose sleep and your kids’ college fund simultaneously. I don't know that we’ve been fully prepared for any of these challenges, but the hope is to re-home as many as we can.”
