The White House has pledged support for Israel after Iran launched approximately 150 missiles toward the Jewish state earlier today.

National Security Council spokesperson: “The U.S. will stand with the people of Israel and support their defense against these threats from Iran. We will work with our partners to hold Iran to account for its actions.”

Tensions are at the highest since the Israel-Hamas war began six months ago and the situation could escalate into a broader regional conflict. Germany’s foreign minister warned that the region is at risk of plunging “into chaos.”
