Lionsgate revealed the first trailer for the Michael Jackson biopic titled “Michael” at CinemaCon. It shows moments from Jackson’s childhood, musical legacy, and personal life. 

The trailer starts with a scene of screaming fans and cuts to Jackson as a young boy whose mother tells him, “There might be some people who think you’re different and that’s going to make life a little harder for you, but you never were like anyone else.” Another scene depicts Jackson performing as an adult, with a voice-over saying: “It transports your entire being, that’s what I want the world to feel like — magic.” 

The film features Jaafar Jackson, Michael’s nephew, portraying the legend on stage. It is set for release on April 18, 2025.

The movie will get into all of it including over 30 songs spanning his career.”
