At an AI event in Saudi Arabia, the country’s first male robot was filmed inappropriately touching a female reporter’s bottom during a live showcase. The reporter immediately flinched and turned around with her hand raised, appearing to scold the robot while continuing her job.

It’s unknown whether the bot was in a fully autonomous mode or being controlled by a human.

The robot, named Mohammad, has been described as the “latest marvel in robotics,” designed to perform tasks in hazardous conditions to improve human safety.

Dressed in a traditional outfit, including a red keffiyeh, Mohammad introduced himself to the crowd in Arabic: “I am Muhammad, the first Saudi robot in the form of a man. I was manufactured and developed here in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a national project to demonstrate our achievements in the field of artificial intelligence.”
