Nickelodeon is opening a “SpongeBob SquarePants” restaurant in Brazil next month. The venue, named “Bob Esponja – Burguer & Restaurante,” spans 1,000 square meters and can accommodate up to 254 guests.

The establishment in Sao Paolo will feature various themed areas, including a hamburger restaurant on the first floor designed to immerse visitors in the underwater world of Bikini Bottom. The second floor will also house The Flying Dutchman’s Lounge and the SpongeBob House, offering a fine dining experience led by renowned chef Heaven Delhaye.

For younger fans, two child-friendly areas will be available, including Casa da Sandy on the mezzanine, providing an immersive experience into the universe of Sandy Cheeks.

A confrontation erupted at a private San Diego dock when the owner of a $3.4 million Lamborghini yacht was denied access, leading to him screaming death threats and hurling $100 bills in the water.

The incident, caught on video, involved the yacht owner aggressively disputing with a dock worker. “I will kill you, you know I will kill you!” can be heard multiple times.

The yacht owner also reportedly mooned the employee, but this act was not captured on video.

Employee: “I told him respectfully that he couldn’t be there, and I honestly was hoping to have a conversation with him about his cool boat. I really was trying to restrain myself from getting fired. The only thing I did was give him the bird. He was saying I’m nobody, I’m nothing, I work a silly job. He said that he knows people, he has connections, he can change my life and ruin it.”

Local news identified the owner as Ajay Thakore, a marketing agency CEO. Thakore later apologized: “What started as a minor misunderstanding escalated into an argument, and I apologize for my actions and to those who witnessed the unfortunate exchange.”

A new survey suggests the American dream of owning a home is dead, with 61% of renters fearing they’ll never afford a home.

This comes as the U.S. housing market’s accessibility has sharply declined, with only 16% of 2023 home listings deemed affordable for the median U.S. household. The income required for buying an average American home, $106,000, has surged 80% since 2020.

Libby Rodney, researcher: “When you think about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, and housing is right at that foundational level of security, the implications on consumer psyche when things feel so unaffordable is something that will impact everyone. The American dream of owning a home is looking more like a daydream for renters.”

A 1,800-year-old Roman statue was discovered by UK construction workers building a parking lot. An estate has claimed ownership of the statue, saying it’s a “complete mystery” how it ended up there.

The statue, depicting a Roman lady from the first or second century, was likely carried by art dealers traveling to Italy, experts say. Explanations for its location range “from a bungled burglary to someone simply discarding the statue and it later being covered by soil,” the country estate Burghley House noted.

The construction worker said it was an “amazing feeling to have found something so old and special” and called the find his “best-ever discovery.”
