A couple from Philadelphia, embracing homelessness, have become influencers by sharing their tent-living experiences online. They claim that opting out of traditional work and housing offers them a sense of independence and a “low-cost lifestyle.”

The couple decided to move into the woods with a tent after being asked to leave his family home for refusing to get a job. Their journey into homelessness started in September 2022, leading them to vlog their daily lives, earning millions of views and significant online following. Despite the hardships, they view their lifestyle as a “flex” and an entrepreneurial venture rather than a necessity.

Controversy arose when it was revealed they accepted help from a homeless charity despite having funds from GoFundMe and TikTok earnings. They plan to use their savings for future investments, such as buying a van or RV, further embracing their independence from traditional employment.

The man: “I’m not getting no job. I’ve had jobs in the past, and I’ve got fired at 90% of those jobs. It’s not for me. I’m an entrepreneur, self-made.”
