A former college football quarterback claims he was approached by the Italian mob to fix games, offering $300,000 for his cooperation during his tenure at Vanderbilt and USC.

The approach allegedly occurred at a bar in Nashville, where the mobster explicitly mentioned manipulating games in the SEC, claiming such practices were common, even naming players now in the NFL.

Vanderbilt University and the SEC have yet to respond to these allegations, which have sparked skepticism among sports commentators, noting the player’s limited on-field action.
