A former New York Times writer claims he was chastised after expressing his preference for Chick-fil-A's spicy chicken sandwich. An HR rep stated: “We don't do that here. They hate gay people.”

Adam Rubenstein described the incident in an article for The Atlantic, revealing the challenges of expressing dissenting views at the publication. Beyond the Chick-fil-A incident, he noted a reluctance among colleagues to publish right-leaning op-eds.
