Outside of work, Americans value their day at $134, a new poll finds. This figure comes from tasks like cleaning, cooking, and driving. On average, they spend $35 daily, with 39% desiring additional income.

Strikingly, only one in three currently feel financially free. Among those who feel financially restricted, not needing to stick to a budget each month (42%), not having to monitor their bank account before or after every purchase (38%), and having an “excellent” credit score (29%) would make them feel more liberated.

Only 21% of these financially-restricted Americans believe they’ll ever be free, expecting it to happen about ten years before retirement.
